Experience

Christy Wallace brings over 23 years of experience to the practice of immigration law. Her concentration in business immigration entails solving complex immigration problems for business clients ranging from Fortune 500 to smaller companies, covering industries such as IT, financial services, construction, engineering, and multi-media production. She also oversees family immigration matters around the globe.

Ms. Wallace works with all levels of the US government to achieve success – from filing petitions with US CIS, to re-opening cases that were accidentally denied to working with the consulates.  She walks into congressional offices for assistance when phone and email are not enough. Unravels immigration problems or coaches the client, and has helped three foreign governments shape their laws (immigration, banking, criminal). She works until she achieves a positive result. She assists companies with business set-up and investor funding as part and parcel in global relocation. She works until she achieves a positive result.

Serving global professionals and companies, Ms. Wallace strategizes multinational transfer issues to relocate individuals and set up new businesses on US soil.  Communications clarify information for company executives, HR professionals, general counsel and the employees themselves. She advises corporations on how to choose immigration counsel as a matter of market analysis, ie, what to look for in the immigration RFP process, how to deal with corporate immigration matters and choosing the optimal pricepoint.

She has presented immigration-related seminars to HR professionals on employment eligibility verification (E-verify), related payroll issues, and proper I-9 records.  She has spoken at employment seminars, the NFIB, global relocation companies, to executives and to in-house employment counsel.  For several years, Christy taught a course as an adjunct professor to HR Managers on Immigration Laws in Recruiting at the Northern Virginia Community College as part of its PHR-certified curriculum. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association (AILA).
